Last week was such a fun week for photos and probably the busiest week I’ve had! No complaints here, especially when I see pics like the ones below. I think they turned out awesome!! What do you think? There’s a … Continue reading →
I held a contest not too long ago for a free photo session and this happy family won! They wanted a fall session and we were able to fit it in right before Thanksgiving. Jacob happens to be my cousin and he married my friend Jody. Their little boy Kenson just turned 2 and he has the funniest little personality. He is most famous for his nose wrinkle!! They also brought along their puppy Jax, a beautiful chocolate lab, for the shoot.
This turned out to be a little more special of a shoot than we thought, because, you see, their dear Jax got sick over the weekend and we received the terrible news that he did not make it through the night last night. They are heartbroken and I’m so very happy we were able to capture them as a family before this tragedy occurred.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Losing a pet is like losing a part of your family.
I’m only 27, okay almost 28 but still relatively young for the amount of nieces and nephews I have. At least I think so. I have a 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and 1 great-niece. To say they’re all cute and/or beautiful only scratches the surface. They are all kind, sweet, well-mannered, funny, genuinely good people. I am so blessed to have each and every one of them in my life.
You’ve seen this little guy before. His momma wanted a new photo done for their Christmas card. The candids I got are absolutely to die for! Then scroll down further to see photos of my nieces.
This expression makes me think he’s some cool kid skipping school that all the girls chase after.
Love all his unique little “looks”
My favorite of his sweet smile!
And now my beautiful niece, Hailee, Thomas’ cousin.
This was my first time taking her pictures and she was such a natural in front of the camera I’m already planning a real shoot just for her!
And as a special bonus for you here’s sweet little Nolie Jane, my great-niece.
Here’s wishing you all a continued blessed holiday season!!
1 1/2, 3, 6 and 9. Think I had my hands full?! Of course! But it was so much fun and these kids were awesome! They went right along with whatever idea I sprung on them and were enthusiastic about … Continue reading →
Let me start out by saying that I love this family and although we’re not technically related I consider them family for sure. I’ve known the dad since I was 4 and he grew up teasing and pranking me and his younger sister (my best friend)….wait that all still very much happens!! Now he’s all grown up, married, and has not only a beautiful wife but two handsome little boys.
This photo was the little one’s idea! They talked mom and dad into it!
For those of you in the Parker Co. area I am running a Holiday special for this location. Please see my posts on my Facebook page for details or contact me from the Contact page.
If you know me personally you probably know that I have a ton of creative energy and photography just doesn’t get it all out. So in between shoots I am pretty much always making something, whether it be for myself, Christmas presents (I made almost all mine last year), or to sell.
I previously posted how I tried my hand at making fabric flower rosettes and after wearing some that I had created I started to get the feeling that people would buy them. Or threaten me within an inch of my life if I didn’t make them one *cough, Missy!* I don’t have a ton made up but I have enough to show examples to sell and take orders if needed.
I will not be putting these in my Etsy shop but will sell directly to you. I will also be putting some at Sobo Fashion Lounge in Fort Worth where I already sell my pillows.
The bobby pins are $2.95 each.
The hair clips are made on either an alligator clip or snapping barrette and are $15 each.
Necklaces are $29
Brooches range from $6 – $9
Headbands coming soon!
Confession: These were made while listening to the World Series from the other room in an effort to calm me down. Didn’t work!
If you live in the Weatherford area you might have noticed a new sandwich shop across the parking lot from Lowe’s (where the ice cream shop used to be). It’s called Honey Bee Ham and my close friends Cody and Missy Strait opened a little over 2 months ago. I’m not being biased at all when I say their food knocks places like Subway and Which-Wich out of the water!! Not only sandwiches do they offer but soups and more!!
An excerpt from their Facebook page:
Come try our delicious sandwiches, homemade soups & salads any day of the week! We are famous for our Spiral Sliced Honey Glazed Hams that are fresh never frozen and sure to be a hit at your next family gathering or Holiday party!
They recently had their Grand Opening and ribbon cutting and the turnout was fantastic!!
